Chelsea is the Assistant Director for the Glazer Center for Leadership & Service at San Diego State University. She is originally from Los Angeles, California and attended Sonoma State University for her undergraduate career where she received degrees in Psychology and Business. She is also a proud Alumna of San Diego State University where she earned her master’s degree in Educational Leadership.

Chelsea’s role allows her to work with all students to encourage them to realize their leadership potential. She does this through one on one advising, workshop facilitation and manages large scale event planning. She oversees of many landmark campus programs such as the Aztec CORE leadership retreat, SDSU Leadership Summit conference, Aztec Unity Project service learning program and the Quest for the Best top leadership awards. Chelsea is also a Myers-Briggs certified practitioner and CliftonStrengths coach. She believes these personality and leadership assessments are great tools to empower students to realize their potential and articulate their leadership value. While not at work, Chelsea enjoys traveling and trying new restaurants.

Brookland is the Student Life Advisor for Community Service for the Glazer Center for Leadership & Service at San Diego State University. She is a Tennessee native who attended Tennessee Technological University for her undergraduate career where she received a degree in Secondary Education, with minors in Biology and Communication. She went on to earn her master’s degree in College Student Affairs Administration from the University of West Florida. Previously she has worked with Student Government, Campus Activities, and Fraternity and Sorority Life.

Brookland’s role allows her to work with all students to encourage them to participate in and grow through service learning in their community. She does this through one-on-one advising, workshop facilitation and managing service-related student organizations. She leads the Aztec Unity Project service learning program and assists in planning and executing many additional campus programs such as the Aztec CORE leadership retreat, SDSU Leadership Summit conference and the Quest for the Best top leadership awards. She believes in leadership development and the strength of the Aztec community. You can find Brookland in the Student Life office and the Glazer Center for Leadership & Service. In her free time, Brookland enjoys spending time outdoors with her dog, cat & partner, traveling near & far, working on her next DIY, and exploring all the local foodie locations.

Liana Marin joins the Glazer Center for Leadership & Service as the Student Life Advisor for Leadership. Liana is a proud SDSU alumna who received a B.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology with a minor in Leadership and Honors Interdisciplinary Studies from the Weber Honors College. She also earned her M.Ed. in Postsecondary Administration and Student Affairs from the University of Southern California Rossier School of Education. Liana has previously served as the Leadership Development Coordinator for Associated Students Inc. at CSU Dominguez Hills and the Coordinator for Student-Athlete Development at CSU Long Beach. Her professional experience has focused on developing holistic programs for specialized populations such as student-athletes, student-government leaders, fraternity and sorority life, and cultural communities.

Liana will support the Glazer Center for Leadership & Service in their signature leadership programs such as Aztec CORE Leadership Retreat, the SDSU Leadership Summit, Homecoming, and the Quest for the Best Vice Presidential Student Service Award. Liana is excited to return back to the SDSU family and empower student leaders to engage in transformative self-discovery initiatives that enrich the lives of the communities we serve and represent.

Assistant Coordinator for The Glazer Center for Leadership & Service and first-year building Huaxyacac. Andrew attended California State University, San Marcos for their undergraduate degree for a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Business Administration. And now, they are a graduate student in the Master’s of Arts Postsecondary Educational Leadership and Student Affairs at SDSU. Andrew was born and raised in Joshua Tree, California.
